General Discussion
Ventricular septal problems are heart problems that are present at birth (congenital). The typical heart has four chambers. Both upper chambers, called atria, are separated from each other by a fibrous partition called the atrial septum. The two lower chambers are known as ventricles and are separated from each various other by the ventricular septum. Valves hook up the room (left as well as right) to their particular ventricles. The aorta, the main vessel of arterial blood circulation, carries blood from the left ventricle and also far from the heart.
Ventricular septal problems can occur in any sort of part of the ventricular septum. The dimension and location of the flaw establish the seriousness of the symptoms. Tiny ventricular septal flaws could close on their own; (spontaneously) or become less significant as the kid develops and grows. Moderately-sized defects could cause coronary infarction, which is identified by an abnormally fast rate of breathing (tachypnea), wheezing, uncommonly fast heart beat (tachycardia), enlarged liver (hepatomegaly), and/or failure to thrive. Large ventricular septal defects can cause life-threatening problems during infancy. Relentless elevation of the stress within the artery that lugs blood far from the heart and to the lungs (lung artery) could cause long-term damage to the lungs. The exact cause of ventricular septal defects is not completely comprehended.
